Latest reviews of Royal iQ app for iPhone and iPad
Unfortunately the app has bugs and doesnt work the way it supposed to work ... but not always. I was able to book 2 activities on board and the theatre shows but nothing else worked and most the time could not use the app in my state room because the Wi-Fi signal was so poor. I actually cancelled my Wi-Fi plan on board because the strength was only one or two bars at most and hardly ever worked in the cabin. And that was very disappointing because the ship was advertised as being the most technically advanced ship ever. Perhaps Wi-Fi worked better with the streaming plan. I had the basic plan. Not what I expected from Royal Caribbean.
Download this app to use on a recent voyage on the Anthem of the Seas. Though useful to view the personal calendar and also view statement of purchases, it did not record reservation made on board ship, which was a complaint that many on board had. So we missed many activities that we thought we reserved, which by the way the app displayed confirmations of. The app really was not useful as the interactive television in our room was more useful. If you want to have a handy calendar of your activities on board at your finger tips, then this app is useful, otherwise dont waste your time. Can be very good if the on board integration if fixed.
Great idea but not available on most ships. According to several sites, Royal Caribbean advertised that Royal iQ would be available on Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas in 2015 and its still not onboard
Dont waste your phones memory on this app.
Its a step in the right direction, and very welcomed, but a lot of room for improvement. Eg they need a section where all the restaurant menus are in one place and you can easily scroll between them. Also they dont update some parts regularly enough - eg out of date menus. Good for booking excursions. I found I had to keep a paper copy of the daily ship activities - really it should be all on the app. Would be if to add a feature to wait list for excursions if the one you want is sold out - some people always drop out. Calendar feature should alert you when your tour is about to depart. Recommendation to RC- spend a few days with actual passengers on board to see how they really want to use the app.
