Royal iQ App Reviews

Im going ahead and giving it three stars based on things that I understand from people who have already used it on Anthem and Quantum. I wont be using it myself until this upcoming week and then I will come back and adjust. Mainly, Im writing it now because all the negative reviews are from people trying to use it on Oasis class and it only works on Quantum class ships, so please keep that in mind. Also, the only reason whatever have to pay money is if you want to use the communications between members of your party. All the other functions of the app are free. You would be better off bringing post it notes and sticking them on your mirror in your cabin if you want to talk to your party members.

Im on the Oasis, connected to their (very nice and fast) "Royal-WiFi" but the app insists that Im not connected. The app sounds like it could have been useful, but since it doesnt seem to know that Im connected, its just a waste of disk space.

If each of you who is saying the app doesnt work had bothered to read the app description you will see that this app ONLY works on QUANTUM class ships. All the other ships mentioned in the reviews where the app does not work ARE NOT QUANTUM CLASS ships. No need to blame Royal Caribbean if you arent willing to read the instructions.

On board the Anthem on the 7th day of an 8th day cruise as I write this. App is incomplete, inconsistent and basically unusable. Had Royal Caribbean actually tested any of this, they would never have deployed it because the only thing it comprises is to give guests a negative experience. Links for restaurant menus go to nowhere. Select schedule on the activity that shows up on a specific time on the compass, App still expects the time to be entered manually. The compass and calendar has to load every time (very slow) even in the same session. Doesnt leave a confident feeling that Royal Caribbean has any idea why theyre doing when it comes to technology.

Just used it on the anthem. Took awhile to set it up but the fantastic once we had it going. 3 couples doing their own thing were able to communicate on board.

Pointless app. It will always tell you are disconnected, even when you are on royal wifi. Has never worked.
